The mission of the Ruthben-Ayrshire Community School, together with parents and communiity, will provide a supportive and caring, yet challenging environment. Students will have a variety of opportunities to acquire knowledge and skills (Iowa Core Curriculum, Core Content Standards), to learn to think creatively and to act responsibly in order to meet the challenges of today and the opportunities of tomorrow (21st Century Skills).
The Board of Education typically meets on the second Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in Room 214, the Superintendent's Office/Board Room at 1505 Washington Street, Ruthven, IA 50358. Special meetings are also called when necessary.
All meeting notices and board agendas are posted in advance, here on our website. Special provisions apply in the case of an emergency meeting.
Minutes are recorded by the board secretary and represent official actions taken by the board but do not include verbatim transcripts of conversations and discussions from each meeting. Minutes are posted here, on our website.
The Open Forum is a specific time set aside at the beginning of each meeting for public communication to the Board. Learn more about how to communicate questions and concerns, when to address the Board during the forum, or the process for requesting an agenda item, in this Welcome Kit.
